The famous Scottish Heraldic Armorial manuscript compiled by Sir
David Lindsay of the Mount (Secundus), Lord Lyon King of Arms in
1542 was beautifully reproduced in a faithful facsimile edition
and a copy presented to King George IV on the occasion of his visit
to Edinburgh in 1822. The volume was again reproduced in facsimile
at great expense in 1878 and has now been digitally reproduced by
Academic Microforms Limited. The facsimile contains a descriptive
piece noting the history of the manuscript together with a comprehensive
index of names. The index has been cross-referenced to the PDF frame
numbers to facilitate speedy research.
